Learn Affiliate Marketing - Simplified, No BS and Profitable!

by Jane Long

"Another series of lessons on affiliate marketing! Wow,
terrific! Maybe this one will have the magic formula so that
I'll have $X in my account in the morning? After all, this is
what the guru did."

"What is it that I'm missing?"

Are you like me? You've signed up for this guru and the next
guru and you think you're doing everything you've been told but
you're still not getting the sales you're told you should get.
I'd be embarrassed to tell you how much I've spent trying to
learn affiliate marketing so that I can make some decent money.
And I have learned and earned [just enough to whet my appetite]
but that regular income has eluded me. I mean, it's really such
a simple concept - this guy has a good product, if I sell a
product for him I'll get a commission. If I advertise, I should
make some sales too. He's making $X so why shouldn't I be able
to earn a tenth of $X?

But it all gets complicated, what with SEOs and page rank and
directories and ezines and blogs and links and ...
and....and.... The list seems to go on and on.

But don't let me put you off! It is possible to learn affiliate
marketing without spending an arm and a leg as I have.

What you need are clear simple step by step instructions and the
ability to ask questions and get prompt and straight forward
answers. It's such a relief to SEE and HEAR how you do things as
well as READ them. And not only that, but to be able to
UNDERSTAND what and why and how and when and where! It's great
to feel that someone cares that you succeed, who constantly
updates things to cater for the changes in the marketplace,
who'll personally answer you in the forum, and if need be,
create another video because there must be others who have the
same need as you.

If there's one program which can do this and has cleared the
affiliate marketing haze floating around my head, it's
Affilorama.

You really don't need anything else, even if the good sales page
by the next guru sucks you in, I'll bet you could have found the
same information or the free software in Affilorama. There are
some free introductory videos to get you started but there are
videos for all levels and it includes other ways of earning
money online.

This isn't meant to be a sales letter and you're unlikely to
wake up with $400 in your account by tomorrow morning, I just
don't want other people to have the expensive experience I've
had to learn affiliate marketing when it isn't necessary.

Affiliate Marketing In 3 Steps

by Greg Phillips
Affiliate marketing is a process where the merchant will pay a
portion of their sales revenue to an affiliate if the sale is
result of the affiliate's promotion to the products and services
offered by the merchant.

Now days, it's one of the fastest growing industries because
it's cost efficient and quantifiable for both the affiliate and
the merchant. Other players can profit as well, such as the
affiliate network or the affiliate solutions provider.

The best benefit for the merchant is the fact that he will gain
opportunities to advertise his products to a much larger market,
therefore increasing his chances to earn. The more affiliates
the merchant obtains, the more sales he can expect.

With the merchant having affiliates market his products and
services, he will save himself time, effort, and money in
looking for markets as well as customers. The affiliate marketer
will benefit from each customer that clinks on the link in his
website and who actually purchases a product from the merchant.

If you have wanted to join the growing legion of affiliate
marketers and have an unlimited potential for income, simply
follow these 3 steps to start an effective affiliate marketing
program.

1. Identify something that interests you or you feel very
passionate about. Then, focus on a specific area you know a lot
about, as this will help you bring out your best and give your
visitors who are possible buyers a demonstration of your expert
in this field. This way, you'll gain their trust and encourage
them to buy the products that you endorse.

2. Search for merchants and products or services that are
related to your interest then creat a web site with top level
domain names and very reliable hosting. When you choose the
products for your web site, you need to consider the commission
structure and the conversion rate.

There are many different affiliate networks and affiliate
solution providers where you can obtain the information on most
profitable products and which merchants pay the best. Take your
time - and be sure you choose the right one.

3. Now, you are ready to promote. You've chosen everything you
need and even created your very own website. You'll need to be
creative, flexible, and willing to embrace new ideas. By this
stage, you'll be well on your way to making more money than you
ever imagined - and enjoying every minute of it.

10 Biggest Mistakes In Affiliate Marketing And How To Avoid Them

by Paul Senior

Though anyone can achieve success with affiliate programs, not
everyone manages to do so. The reason? Well, there are 10 of
them, actually. These are the biggest mistakes that make success
in affiliate marketing very elusive. Study them well, and read
up on how to avoid them. Hurdling through these mistakes can
spell the difference between monumental profits and dismal
performance in your affiliate marketing campaigns.

Believing that people would just click on their affiliate links.
Though an affiliate's job is merely limited to pre-selling,
pre-selling involves more than just displaying the affiliate
links. It also entails encouraging people to click on them by
enumerating the benefits that can be derived from the affiliate
merchant's products, giving favorable recommendations about the
use of the products, and providing an encouraging offer that
would entice readers to check out the package

Believing that there's such a thing as organic traffic. Organic
traffic, or traffic that is naturally generated by a website, is
a myth. There is no such thing! If you're hosting your affiliate
links on one website, you can't expect people to find it just
like that. You have to make them find it. This can be done
through effective SEO techniques and efficient marketing
strategies.

Believing that employing one marketing strategy is enough. Some
people actually think that submitting one article to the article
directories would give them the amount of traffic they need.
This is a fatal mistake. Limiting yourself to a single, or even
a couple, of marketing tactics would be limiting the number of
visitors you could generate for your website. Also, you'll fail
to tap into other segments of your targeted market if your
tactics aren't flexible enough to expand.

Failing to study your campaign's performance. Most affiliates
merely check on how much they have earned per day, and if such
an amount remains at low levels, they fail to make corresponding
adjustments because, well, they don't know which aspects of
their campaigns need improving. It is important to study every
aspect of our marketing strategies. How many visitors are we
generating for our website? How many of them are unique? How
many are returning? How much time do they spend in our pages?
Where are they coming from? To where are they exiting? These are
the questions that can be answered by an excellent visitor
tracking software program, and these are the questions that
could help us improve the performance of our marketing endeavors.

Failing to find an affiliate program which actually offers
saleable products. Some affiliate programs may offer as much as
a 95% commission per sale. But if the products are impossible to
sell, you'd never realize the profit the program promises.

Failing to find an affiliate program with a proven record of
consumer satisfaction. The credibility of an enterprise depends
on how people view it. If the affiliate program has established
great relationships with the members of its target market, then
it has established a brand which is recognizable for its
excellent service. You'd have an easier time pre-selling such an
affiliate program's products.

Failing to keep abreast with the latest developments in the
industry. There will come a time when the marketing knowledge we
know would become obsolete, more so in the field of internet
marketing where everything transpires at a rapid pace. You have
to constantly update yourself with the newest trends, techniques
and news in this field to always keep your competitive edge.

Failing to invest on knowledge. Knowledge likewise evolves and
you have to evolve with it. Buy noteworthy eBooks, special
reports and the likes... those which would teach you the latest
tactics to help you conquer your field.

Resting on your laurels once a semblance of success is achieved.
Success is not eternal. You have to sustain it. If you leave
your business alone once it shows the promise of success, you're
just setting it up for failure.

Believing that affiliate marketing is a "get rich quick" scheme.
It is not. You have to invest a certain level of commitment, a
lot of time, some financial resources on occasions, and a whole
lot of effort if you want to truly realize the many wonderful
things that this field does promise.

5 THINGS YOU MUST HAVE TO SUCCEED IN AFFILIATE MARKETING

by Haze Spehar

The idea of being mere passengers on a ship meant to sail to the
farthest points does not appeal to people who like to put their
destiny into their own hands. They have the desire of
maneuvering the ships themselves, of being able to be the ones
to take it anywhere they want to. Being aboard a ship on its way
to a particularly great destination is something each and every
one of them dreams of, and the knowledge that they have the
capacity to steer it themselves is what makes them actually want
to.

Perhaps this is the reason why more and more people are
succumbing to one of the most popular businesses around -
affiliate marketing. It is because in this business, there are
no bosses to order the employees around. There are no deadlines
to meet and no clutter of work do to. One only needs to be
equipped with the tools needed to succeed in a business such as
this, and he is bound to get what his heart ultimately desires.

Just what are the things needed to be able to succeed in
affiliate marketing? What must one have within himself to be
able to do well in this industry? There is a lot of competition
involved in affiliate marketing, and to be able to rise above
the norm, one must be equipped with just the right stuff
necessary to propel him forward. There are five things one must
ultimately possess if he wants to achieve the glory he is
yearning for in this business, and these five things are a must
for him to possess to be able to stand out among the rest.

The very first quality one must possess if he wants to try his
hand in affiliate marketing is the willingness to learn and be
trained. Treading through unfamiliar territory is scary stuff if
one is not properly equipped, and he might get lost amidst a
jungle of the unknown. Learning the tricks of the trade is also
an important aspect of the game, and one's willingness to know
it all will give him far better advantages in the business than
he could ever imagine.

The second quality one must possess is the willingness to invest
time and effort even if direct results do not seem at all
apparent. Although several months may pass without good news, it
is important for one who has his foot in the industry to hold on
and wait. It is this quality which would save him from giving up
after investing a lot of himself in the business.

The third quality one must possess is self-determination. If one
wants to conquer the affiliate marketing world, he must have the
ability to push himself ahead. Never having to say die is a
quality each and every affiliate marketer should possess, and
the ability to motivate oneself into scaling greater heights is
an ability which would actually take an affiliate marketer there.

The fourth quality one must possess is discipline. If one knows
how to teach himself to work everyday with all the energy he can
muster, then he is close to achieving what he has set his heart
to having in the first place.

The fifth and last quality one must possess is optimism.
Negative attitudes and hearsays should not discourage an
affiliate marketer from pursuing what he has to in order to make
life better for himself and for everyone concerned. Neither
should anyone influence his attitude toward the business,
because once in it, it is a must for him to be the captain of
his ship and the master of his soul.

The ingredients to success in a business such as affiliate
marketing are diverse and manifold, but the most important thing
one needs to be able to make it big lies in himself alone. It is
he who has the capacity to do everything to be able to realize
his prospects, and the desire which fuels his heart in doing so
is the gasoline which should keep the engine going.

Affiliate marketing is all about putting one's fate into his own
hands. The right attitude is the key to being able to steer
one's ship into that part of the ocean where a certain kind of
serenity can be found, one that permeates the atmosphere as the
ship sails calmly on.

AFFILIATE MARKETING FOR BEGINNERS

by Haze Spehar

Affiliate marketing programs are a great way to get income for
your website, and a great introduction to e-commerce. The more
people that drop by your website, the great your chance will be
at creating an excellent income.

Affiliate marketing programs are where a company offers to pay
you a set amount for either a click through from your website,
or a set amount for visitors signing up, or even a percentage of
a purchase made by visitors as a result of being referred from
your website.

Even if visitors don't make a purchase immediately, almost all
programs offer cookie duration, normally consisting of 30 - 90
days. What this means, is that as long as the visitors have the
cookie in their cache, you'll still recieve a profit from the
sale.

The biggest amount of time in maintaining your site will be
searching and implementing affiliations with various companies.
Even though there's a lot of money in affiliate marketing, you
have to take the time to search for the best programs.

One thing that you may not be happy with, is the idea of other
companies banners littering your website. If you use too many
banners or links on any web page, it can confuse and help to
irritate your visitors. Use only few animated element on a web
page, otherwise it can be very distracting.

Affiliate tracking can also be a problem. Once you have applied
to become an affiliate for a company, they'll usually supply you
with a personalized link or code. It's very important that you
implement this code into your page correctly, or you may be
sending visitors to the company without recieving any profit.

A majority of snippets in the code will contain a unique user
ID, which the company uses to distinguish which site sent
traffic.

SUPER AFFILIATES ... AND THE OTHERS

Author: Kerry Harrington

What is it that places a small percentage of Affiliates so far
ahead of all the other Affiliates. 80% of Affiliates make little
or no money, 15% make average money, 5% are Super Affiliates.
Why? Is it because Super Affiliates work harder than the rest?
Not necessarily. What they do have is systems they use and a
professional approach to internet marketing.

As with any high achiever in any field - Super Affiliates have
goals and dreams on which they focus while they work patiently
towards achieving those goals. They have elected to give what
ever it takes to learn and excel in internet marketing - the
field they have chosen never losing sight of their goals.

These Affiliates carefully select the products or services they
are going to market, they personally purchase use and familarize
themselves with these products. They limit the products or
services only to those they can personally recommend while at
the same time retaining their own credibility.

Super Affiliates take the time to build mailing lists, lists of
subscribers who respect their honesty and integrity, subscribers
to whom they can mail their eZine/Newsletter and promote and
recommend products to. These Affiliates treat their customers as
real live people not unseen faces hidden behind a computer
screen, making sure they answer all of the customers questions
or concerns.

The Super Affiliates don't place a banner ad on their website
and sit back thinking it's all going to happen, it simply won't
happen. They write their own copy detailing all the features of
the product or service and the benefits they have had by using
the product, pointing out how the customer can expect to have
the same results.

They use ad tracking scripts to track the results of their
advertising campaigns, they also use scripts to split hits
between pages or ad copy. The Affiliate will write two ads or
two pages the script will then split the hits 50/50 between the
two from this they can then see page A made 6 sales while page B
made 2. They then alter page B and repeat the process again.
Constantly testing and improving.

Recently a Marketer told me he had calculated a loss of over
$30,000 during the course of one advertising campaign, in his
wisdom he had neglected to carefully track the particular
campaign, at some time during the campaign he altered the text
size of some words and noticed a marked increase in results. He
then did some calculations and came up with the loss mentioned
above.

Super Affiliates don't sell they pre sell, it isn't the job of
an Affiliate to sell the product the Affiliate tells the
customer all about the features and benefits of the product then
provides a link to the Merchants website where the customer
arrives already warmed to the idea and more likely to purchase.
If the Marketer does his part of the deal correctly this should
result in a sale.

When a Marketer and his Affiliates work in unison together each
mindful of his role in the sale process we then have not only a
Super Affiliate but a Super Sales Team. We all know what happens
when members of any team fail to play their part in the team
effort. When that happens guess what? - you no longer have a
winning team.

If you have a product or service and would like a simple way to
locate Super Affiliates and build a highly efficient sales team
I found Dr Neil Shearing's "Internet Success Spider" to be
simply stunning. It includes breakthrough software and an ebook
to help you find Super Affiliates and get them to sell your
product! Plus, it has the best digital guarantee ever!
